Bella

Hi, my name is Bella, I'm 11.

My sister Rosie is 7, she has brain cancer and NF (neurofibromatosis). She sleeps a lot everyday, mom says it's because Rosie's body is fighting all the time. I often worry about my sister. I love her very much, so I want to help her.

I have had to watch her lose her hair at the age of 3 and again at 5. I have seen her so sick and weak, I thought she would die. I have seen her throw-up day after day (she has had chemo at least 142 times.) I have waited for her to come out of surgery and laid with her before she went in (she has had 13 surgeries already and I know there are more to come); she is very brave. I have woken up in the middle of the night to find out my Mom had to rush my sister to the hospital, or woken up to find out they had already left during the night. I have gotten home from school to be greeted by a neighbor or one of my parent's friends because Rosie had to be admitted into the hospital. I never know just how long they will have to stay.

Now they have found new tumors in her brain. I worry that she will be on chemo again soon and our life will get crazy again, and I'll be forgotten. It's not easy having a little sister with cancer.

PLEASE help me to make a difference, donate just $5 right now and help me to help the doctors to find a cure for brain cancer and NF. AND PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE...PASS MY NOTE ON!!!

Bella & Rosie have made the commitment to dance 13.1 hours again this year on March 3, 2012. Their goal is to beat last year's goal of $25,000 so this year for Chicago Dance Marathon they want to raise $30,000!! It's a VERY BIG GOAL!! But I know with the support from every one Bella's message reaches, WE can all do it TOGETHER!

PLEASE ask your friends to ask their friends and so on, and so on until WE reach all the way around the world!! Just to make it fun, the girls will be tracking donations by town, state and country so be sure to let us know where you are from and how you might know us.

Where is the money going?

The money you are so generously giving (and it is tax deductible) will go to help kids with brain tumors/cancer at the Children's Falk Brain Tumor Center at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. This is where Rosie goes for her brain cancer treatments.

The Falk Brain Tumor center ranks as one of the "top pediatric centers in the world for pediatric brain tumor diagnoses and treatment" and kids come from all over the world to see the doctors that care for Rosie. So you aren't just helping kids here in Illinois, but from all over the world. Help support the research they do here and help save a life.
